Fr. John P. Connor
Arrested in Camden in 1984 for the sexual abuse of a boy, age 14. Admitted to the abuse. Placed in a special court program under which his arrest was expunged after one year if no more problems. Spent eight months in treatment. Transferred to Pittsburgh in 1985, then to Philadelphia 1988-1993. His 1984 victim received a settlement the same year. Returned to Camden in restricted ministry. Removed in 2002. Named in the Philadelphia Grand Jury report 2/10/2011. There was a settlement related to alleged abuse of a 12- to 14-year-old boy, 1985-1988, in the Pittsburgh PA diocese. Named in the 8/14/2018 PA Grand Jury Report. Included on the Camden diocese’s list 2/13/2019. Per the updated list in 9/2022, Connor is deceased.
