Br. Marcel Crete

Joined the order in 1952. Pleaded guilty in 12/1989 to five counts of gross sexual misconduct against a 12-year-old boy in 1983. Two other charges were beyond the statute of limitations. Per the 2/2004 Maine Attorney General’s Report, Crete was sentenced to 8 years with all but two and a half years suspended and a period of probation. He served 7 months of his sentence and was released in 7/1990. He was last known to still be living with the Brothers of Christian Instruction in Alfred, Maine. Registered sex offender. Crete died 11/24/2014.
