Went on leave in 1986. Suspended in 1987. Abused boys in the 1960s-1970s as a priest and Boy Scout troop chaplain. Convicted in 1987 of the sexual abuse of three children, ages 9-13. Sentenced to 25 years. Charges of the abuse of seven others were dropped. Died in 2000. Per his obituary, Galdon had been “serving at the Service of the Paraclete, a home for retired priests in Jemez Springs, New Mexico.” It was actually a treatment facility for pedophile priests. Included 2/13/2019 on the Newark archdiocese’s list of credibly accused. Three claims settled in 2020 in the six figures.
