Fr. Eugene P. Heyndricks
Arrested in 7/2002 in a male prostitution sting allegedly involving minors. Placed on leave by the Archdiocese. Pleaded guilty in 2003. Sentenced to two years’ probation with no unsupervised contact with minors. Remained on leave as of 5/2003. Apparently lived without restrictions at St. John Vianney Residence for Retired Priests in Rutherford, NJ for several years until his death 12/24/2007. Included 2/13/2019 on the Archdiocese’s list of credibly accused. Multiple victims noted. A lawsuit was filed in 1/2020 by a man claiming Heyndricks sexually abused him at age 14 in 1990, when the man was an Our Lady of the Lake student and altar boy.
