Assigned to Divine Mercy in Brooklyn after ordination in 2013. Removed in 11/2014 due to an “inappropriate relationship” with an adult. Returned to active ministry in 9/2018 in the Diocese of Charleston. Accused in 7/2019 of inappropriate contact over the internet with a minor who told Flores he was an adult. Placed on leave. No criminal charges. In 2020 the Diocese of Brooklyn started the canonical process toward laicization. In 3/2025 the Brooklyn diocese’s Review Board investigated and concluded that there was sufficient evidence of the sexual abuse of a minor. Named publicly as credibly accused by the Diocese on its list 7/3/2025.
