Terrance Booker initially faced three felony counts, but on Tuesday night, LCSO said he is now charged with 11 total felony counts as a result of their continued investigation

A former youth ministry director in Tallahassee is facing eight new counts for child sex crimes.

Terrance Booker was arrested and accused of sexual assault last month after a young member of his church accused Booker of molesting him this year, according to the Leon County Sheriff’s Office.

Booker was also an assistant director of W.T. Moore Elementary School’s extended day program, according to the school website. However, Leon County Schools put him on leave when he was arrested.

Leon County deputies also found probable cause for claims they initially investigated in 2020.

Booker initially faced three felony counts, but on Tuesday night, LCSO said he is now charged with 11 felony counts as a result of their continued investigation.

Court documents obtained by WCTV Wednesday morning revealed that the new charges come after a second victim told authorities earlier this month that Booker had sexually assaulted him “from the time he was in the ninth grade until the eleventh grade” between 2012 and 2015.

The second victim told detectives that at the time the sexual assault occurred, he was left in the custody of Booker while his parents left town on vacation, the documents indicated.

The victim also told authorities that the assault occurred at his home, at church and while in the car with Booker, per the court papers.

The court records went on to reveal that detectives had to pause the interview on occasion with the second victim because he couldn’t stop crying.
