According to the police report, Father Storey is accused of committing a crime against an adult victim from March 12, 2022, through Nov. 10, 2022.

The victim reported the crime to the police department on Sept. 4, 2025, according to the report.

FOX4 is working to learn more about the allegations made against the Johnson County priest. We’ve also reached out to the Johnson County District Attorney’s Office to see if charges are pending in this case; a spokesperson said, “we have no comments at this time.”

“The Prairie Village Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation into an allegation reported to have occurred in Prairie Village,” the police department said in its official statement.

“The investigation involves an adult victim and a pastor of Cure of Ars Parish in Leawood.”

Police said this is an ongoing investigation.

Archbishop McKnight has also initiated a preliminary canonical investigation, according to the archdiocese.

The archdiocese said last week that Father Storey has been temporarily suspended, which means he is not allowed to function publicly as a priest during this time.

Father John Riley, vicar general of the archdiocese, has been appointed as temporary administrator of the parish, according to the archdiocese.
