Thirteen women filed a suit against David Lloyd Walther claiming he possessed pornographic images depicting them being sexually abused as children.

A federal lawsuit has been filed against a former Round Rock pastor previously sentenced for possession of child pornography.

Multiple people filed the suit Wednesday in Austin against David Lloyd Walther, who served as the pastor of Faith Baptist Church in Round Rock before his arrest in 2022

Among those suing Walther are 13 women who are listed in the documents under the pseudonyms: “April” Doe, “Angela” Doe, “Chelsea” Doe, “Cara” Doe, “Lily” Doe, “Maria” Doe, “Sarah” Doe, “Pia” Doe, “Sloane” Doe, “Violet” Doe, “Maureen” Doe, “Taylor” Doe and “Jenny” Doe. The suit states that all of these women were sexually abused as children, and that their abuse was “depicted in images of child pornography” possessed by Walther.

The suit states that Walther was charged in late 2022 with Possession of Child Pornography for instances that happened from August through November of that year.

The suit claims Walther downloaded child pornography photos and/or videos at a place of religious worship called The Church, located on Gattis School Road in Round Rock. He also used on-site internet connection and an IP address tied to The Church, according to the suit.

Upon further investigation, law enforcement officials found images of child sexual abuse connected to The Church’s IP address and the Bit Torrent network.

Walther told law enforcement he was addicted to pornography and watched it through the Bit Torrent network. He pleaded guilty on June 27, 2023, and was sentenced several months later.

According to the suit, in July 2023, the women listed in the lawsuit were informed that they were seen in Walther’s collection of child pornography images. Now they are asking for $150,000 in liquidated damages, along with litigation costs and several other requests.

According to KVUE’s previous reporting, law enforcement discovered more than 5,000 videos and more than 100,000 photos of child sexual abuse in Walther’s home and vehicle in late 2022.

Following the initial discovery, Walther was sentenced to 70 months in prison with 10 years of supervised release. He was also ordered to pay $61,000 in restitution.
