Fr. Paul Tousignant
Sent in 1960 to the Servants of the Paraclete treatment center in Jemez Springs NM. Returned to active ministry in early 1964 until another suspension in late 1965. Did not return to ministry. Laicized in 1967. Died in 1987. Named publicly as accused in the 3/4/2026 RI Attorney General’s Report. In 2013 a man told the Archdiocese of Denver that Tousignant sexually abused him at a Woonsocket parish in 1956. The alleged victim died before the Diocese of Providence could investigate. In 2019 another man told the Diocese that he was sexually abused by Tousignant in the late 1950s when he was an altar boy, between ages 12-15, at a Pawtucket parish.
