Child sexual battery charges filed against Holmes County pastor

A Holmes County pastor has been arrested for alleged sexual battery of a minor.

According to the Holmes County Sheriff’s Office, investigators were contacted by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office after a parent reported discovering concerning messages on their child’s phone.

The messages were allegedly from Randon Carroll and were sexual in nature.

Investigators met with Walton County authorities at the Gulf Coast Children’s Advocacy Center in Niceville to interview the victim. During the interview, the victim reported that Carroll had engaged in inappropriate sexual conduct with them.

Holmes County investigators travelled to Carroll’s residence, where he was interviewed regarding the child’s claims. During the interview with Carroll, he reportedly confessed to the incident.

Carroll was arrested and charged with sexual battery on a child. The investigation remains ongoing.
