Randolph County indictments released, including pastor charged with soliciting minor & attempted murder

The June 2026 grand jury term in Randolph County has been released.

These include an Elkins pastor accused of soliciting a minor, two men accused of attempted first-degree murder and another man who is accused of sexual abuse.

The full list of indictments, which was obtained from the Randolph County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, can be viewed at the bottom of this article.

An Elkins man was indicted on one count of soliciting a minor via computer, one count of distribution of material depicting minors in sexually explicit conduct, one count of delivery of a controlled substance, and one count of distribution of a hemp-derived product to a person under 21.

Kevin Jones, 34, was a pastor at Summit Church and was arrested in October 2025.

Jones was investigated by the Mountain Region Drug and Violent Crime Task Force.

Due to legislation preventing the media from obtaining criminal narratives about sex-related crimes, 5 News has been unable to obtain more information related to the case.
