Fr. Auguste J.C. Delvaux, Jr.
Parish priest, pastor; faculty member of Our Lady of Providence Seminary 1958-1969, and later of St. Xavier Academy; police and fire department chaplain; advisory board member for Diocesan Cable TV and for Northern RI TV. Died at age 51 in 1984. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 2026 of sexually abusing an 8-year-old boy at St. Francis de Sales Parish in North Kingston. Delvaux allegedly would say his time with the boy, and with other children, was “Father’s time.”
