Fr. Lawrence J. Baird
Monsignor. Longtime spokesman for the diocese. Accused in 2002 of sexually abusing a girl who came to him for advice after being abused by Rev. John Lenihan. Baird countersued the plaintiff in 4/2002. His suit was dismissed in 2002 and he was ordered to pay attorney fees for the plaintiff. A second woman also alleged abuse as a child. Continued in active ministry. Retired in 2017.
