Fr. Kevin P. Barmasse
Sued in 2003. Accused of abuse 1982-1988. The L.A. archdiocese counted eight accusers. Also allegations in Tucson, AZ. Settlement in AZ in 2005/2006 under bankruptcy plan for five claiming abuse by Barmasse. These individuals also sued the L.A. archdiocese and were included in a massive $660M settlement in 7/2007. Criminal investigation reopened in AZ in 7/2007. Laicized 5/2/2006. Included on the Tucson diocese’s list of credibly accused in 2011. L.A. personnel file released in 1/2013.
