Fr. Claude J. Bender
A boy claimed he was sexually abused by Bender during the 1970s. Settled claim for $25K in 1993. Bender was on sick leave per the 1990 Official Catholic Directory and died 10/19/1991. The Diocese said it did not know about Bender’s behavior until after his death. Included on the Diocese’s 2/13/2019 list of credibly accused.
