Fr. Valerio A. Bernardo
From Italy. Arrived in the U.S. in 1919. Ordained for the Diocese of Buffalo in 1925. Parish priest, pastor. Died 8/2/1979. Accused in a lawsuit filed in 9/2019 under the NY Child Victims Act of sexually abusing a girl over several years, beginning when she was age 5 in 1964. The girl attended Holy Trinity church and school, where Bernardo was pastor 1945 -1974.
