Fr. Leonard Adolph Bogdan

Monsignor. Ordained in 1960 for the Archdiocese of Chicago. On loan from 1988 to the Kalamazoo diocese to help establish a Marriage Tribunal. Incardinated into Kalamazoo in 1993. Retired from Kalamazoo 6/30/2000. Moved to AZ. Named publicly as accused in Chicago Archdiocese report 3/20/2006. Allegations made in 1983 of abuse of a boy, who was a student at Quigley Preparatory Seminary; withdrawn in 1986. Allegation was reasserted in 8/2001 and deemed credible in 9/2001. Privileges removed in 3/2002. Added to the Diocese of Phoenix’s list in 2019. Per the Chicago Archdiocese’s list Bogdan was “monitored 6/1987.” Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s report, which notes at least one “reported survivor,” of abuse in Chicago 1982-1984. Included in the MI Attorney General’s 5/22/2024 Kalamazoo report.
