Named publicly as accused on the archdiocese’s list 11/6/18. Assignments included Catholic Social Services 1969-87 while living at Village of St. Joseph, and Cathedral of Christ the King 1968-69. An alleged victim said in an 11/18 news interview that when he was age 15 in the 1970s, Bollmer asked him to pull his pants down at his St. Joseph Village residence. The man said he reported the incident to the archdiocese after the clergy abuse crisis in Boston was revealed in 2002. Bollmer was removed from ministry in 1987, and died in 2000.
Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
