Br. Joseph Botto
From Italy, where he entered the Salesian order in 1931. Made final vows as a brother in NJ in 1936. Worked at schools in Marrero, LA, Boston MA, Tampa FL, Paterson NJ, Miami FL. The Salesians reportedly received allegations in 2010 against Botto. In 3/2020 Botto’s name was included on the Salesians’ list of credibly accused. It did not specify number of allegations, gender or age of victim(s) or where the abuse occurred. He died in 2000.
