Fr. Clarence R. Boucher

A woman gave public testimony in 2/2007 that Boucher had touched her inappropriately when she was 13. Incidents were said to have occurred at St. Jean the Baptiste in Lynn. His behavioral habits with young girls were allegedly well-known within the parish. He retired in 1982 and died in 2001. The Boston archdiocese’s list in 8/2011 reported that there was no formal determination of guilt because Boucher died prior to a canonical investigation or it was not complete at his death.

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
