Br. Gary Craanen
Professed vows for the Society of the Divine Word Chicago Province in 1971. Worked in Bordentown NJ 1973-1977 as vice-principal and disciplinarian at the Divine Word Seminary High School. Left the Order in 1977. Allegations were made public in 1/2012 that Craanen solicited two teenage boys for sex in NJ in the 1970s. Retired from his job of 30 years as a religion teacher at a Catholic school in Racine WI as a result of the allegations. Included on the Order’s list of credibly accused.
