Fr. Michael J. Buescher
First named publicly as accused on the Diocese’s 9/18/2018 list. Noted to have six credible allegations against him. Removed from parish ministry in 11/1989. One accuser said he was age 12 when the abuse occurred in 1980 at St. Charles Borromeo in Fort Wayne. Buescher was laicized 5/14/1991 and, at some point, moved to Indianapolis. Beginning in 2001 he worked as a vocational rehabilitation counselor for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Retired 9/28/2018, ten days after the allegations were made public.
