As part of Section 13.1, Non-Monetary Commitments, of the Society of Jesus, Oregon Province, Reorganization Plan (dated 7/18/11) the Province agreed to post on its website the names of all members of the province who are identified as perpetrators of sexual abuse in proofs of claim filed in the bankruptcy, and who have not denied the allegation. Burris’ name is included on this list without any additional information on claims against him. Worked in the San Francisco, Seattle, and Spokane dioceses. On the Jesuit West Province list 12/7/2018 (name misspelled “Burrus”). It notes alleged abuse occurring in 1944 or 1945, reported in 2009. Assigned at the time of the alleged abuse to St. Mary’s Mission in Omak, WA. May have been dismissed around 1950.
