Fr. Edward E. Bush
In 2002 two women accused Bush of sexual misconduct against them when they were in 6th and 8th grades in 1964 or 1965. Removed from ministry 5/2002. Bishop confronted him 4/2002; he did not deny charges, and agreed to resign from all active ministry. He sued the diocese for defamation in 9/2002. At least one woman sued him in 2005. Case withdrawn, then refiled in 1/2007. Dismissed in 6/2007 as beyond the statute of limitations. Bush died 3/22/2011. On diocese’s list in 12/2018. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report.
