Fr. Honorato Cabaong
Extern priest from the Philippines. Alson known as Henry. Accused in a 1984 lawsuit, with six other priests, of the sexual abuse of girl, beginning when she was 16 years old in 1980-1982. The girl became pregnant by one of the priests (not Cabaong). Cabaong is said to have helped secretly send the girl to the Philippines for the pregnancy and birth. The accused priests reportedly fled the country (with support from the Archdiocese) after the suit was filed. Cabaong resurfaced in Montana and was assigned in July 1985 to a parish in Bozeman. He was incardinated in 1990 and died August 17, 1997. The claims resolved in a 2007 settlement.

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
