From the Archdiocese of Chihuahua, Mexico. Associate pastor of Our Lady of Grace in Encino CA. Placed on leave in 1/2018 pending an investigation by the Los Angeles Archdiocese and City Attorney after reports that Cano engaged in “inappropriate contact” with several women, including a minor, at his parish. The District Attorney declined prosecution. On Archdiocese’s updated list of credibly accused 12/6/2018. Incidents alleged to have occurred 2014-2017. Removed from ministry. Reportedly six accusers. Canonical penal process pending as of 12/2018. Per the Los Angeles Archdiocese’s list in 12/2021, Cano was on administrative leave.
