Sued in 2003 by four women who alleged abuse as children by Carrico. Left the priesthood in 1973, having moved through three different parishes in six years. Laicized in 1974. Working at the time of the lawsuit filing as a lay religious educator in the Louisville archdiocese. Placed on leave with pay. Carrico denied the charges in the first two lawsuits but did not comment on others. Included on the archdiocese’s list of accused in 2019.
