Parish priest, military chaplain, high school teacher and principal, NY State Police chaplain. Complainants came forward in 7/2002 and 3/3003 to allege sexual abuse in the 1970s as high school students by Connolly. Connolly was placed on leave in 4/2003. He had been chaplain of diocesan cemeteries and on the Priests Retirement board. He was a classmate and friend of Bishop Hubbard and supervisor of at least two other abusers at Cardinal McCloskey High School. Connolly denied all allegations and requested a canonical trial. Included 11/30/2018 on the Diocese’s list of credibly accused. Died 10/16/2022. Per his obituary, Connolly retired in 2006.
