Fr. J. Peter Conroy
Named publicly as accused by the Buffalo diocese on its list updated 11/5/18. Named as accused by Jesuits 1/15/19. Taught at Canisius High School 1965-68 and Canisius College 1981 for three years and again 1994-2002. Was at a retreat house in Syracuse 1985-94. Removed 2002 after allegations to diocese of abuse of two girls, who were relatives, 1972-75, while he was assigned to Fordham University. Reportedly also accused by a young woman who “encountered” him on a college campus. He acknowledged the abuse. Living at a retreat center since 2002 as of 1/19. Lawsuit filed in 2/19 by the two relatives Conroy admitted abusing. Sued also in 7/20.
