Personnel file released in 12/02. Removed from active ministry in 1994 after the Archdiocese received a demand letter from the attorney for a man who said Conte had sexually abused him when he was 11 or 12. He admitted sharing a bed with the boy and kissing him on the lips but denied sexual abuse. Settled in 1995 for $150K. Also accused of abuse in NH. Voluntary laicization in 2004 announced in 6/05. Boston AD database in 8/11 says case concluded canonically.
