From England. Ordained for Baltimore in 1909. Monsignor. Assigned to St. Brigid’s 1909-1922, St. Peter’s in Washington DC 1922-1924, St. Margaret’s in DC 1924-1943, and St. Mary Star of the Sea in Baltimore 1943-1957. Named publicly as accused by the archdiocese on its list 4/24/2019. Accused in 1993 of abuse of two girls at St. Mary Star of the Sea, one as a third grader in 1949-1950, the other in 1952 or 1953. In 2002 a woman reported abuse by the priest as a first grader, also at St. Mary’s. Another 2002 report of abuse of a girl in 1946; she told her mother who told the principal. No action. Further similar allegations received in 2002, 2010, 2018 and 2020. One victim said Corbett “molested all the little girls at the school [St. Mary’s]. Died in 1957. Included in the 4/5/2023 MD Attorney General’s Report.
