From Ireland. Retired in 1992. Admitted in 2002 to sexually abusing a boy, ages 10-14, in the 1960s. The bishop forced him to move from the monastery where he had lived for ten years because it housed a child day-care center. A second person made similar allegations. Laicized in 2004. Died 7/11/18. Included on the Rapid City diocese’s list in 3/19, which notes the diocese first received an allegation in 1970, and that the first reported abuse occurred in 1953, the last in 1979.
