Fr. Charles G. Coyle

Sued in 2002. Accused of abuse of a boy in the 1970s at Newton South High School in Boston. Reportedly, a second youth who was living with Coyle later died by suicide. Coyle was working in New Orleans when accusation made public; placed on leave. Second suit filed in 2003 alleged abuse dating to when Coyle was a seminarian in Baltimore. Omitted from 2011 Boston AD database. Died 7/1/15. Included on New Orleans archdiocese’s list 11/2/18. Taught at New Orleans’ Jesuit High 1958-61, when he was a scholastic. On MD Province’s list 12/7/18. On Baltimore archdiocese’s list.
