Fr. C. Patrick Creed
Died in 2001. Accused in a 2002 lawsuit of making sexually inappropriate comments to a teen in 1951 when the youth sought counseling after abuse by Fr. Louis Miller. In 2003 four or five other suits were filed by women claiming abuse by Creed when they were school girls. Three claims settled in 6/2003 as part of a massive settlement by the Archdiocese. One other was dismissed by court in 2004 due to the statute of limitations. Included on the Archdiocese’s list of accused in 2019.

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
