Fr. Eligio Della Rosa
In 2/20 Attorney Mitchell Garabedian stated the diocese settled in 9/19 with a man claiming Della Rosa sexually abused him at age 14 in 1964. He was apparently a priest of the diocese at that time; the directories prior to 1962 show Della Rosa as a Salesian of Don Bosco. The abuse allegedly occurred at St. Anthony of Padua in Rocky Point and involved the priest forcing the boy to perform oral sex on him. Della Rosa died in 1991. Included in 3/21 on the Rockville diocese’s list.
