Placed on administrative leave in 2002. A woman said he molested her as a teenager in the late 1950s-early 1960s. He allegedly would sleep with her mother and fondle her at same time. She said she told diocese in 1993, and they said they were not responsible. Dericks paid her a $25K settlement in the early 1990s. In 2003 the diocese found the charges credible. Vatican said he was too old for a church trial. Barred from publicly working as a priest as of 1/04. Died 11/17/10. On the diocese’s list 2/13/19. (Name spelled Derricks)
