Fr. Walter George DeRoeck
Removed in 3/1999 after two men alleged abuse as minors in approximately 1986. DeRoeck was assigned to St. John Berchman’s in the Logan Square neighborhood at time of the alleged abuse. Resigned from the priesthood in 8/2001. Laicized in 1/2002. Included in the 5/23/2023 IL Attorney General’s Report, which notes nine “reported survivors.”
