Fr. Joseph deWater

Parish priest, spiritual director for the Catholic Girl Scouts through the 1970s. Living in the Netherlands in retirement when suspended in 12/20 by Bishop Aymond, pending investigation of an allegation of abuse in the mid-1970s of an altar boy. In a 1/21 interview deWater denied wrongdoing and said the alleged victim should not “dwell on things when he was a young boy.”
