Fr. Gerald Dezurick
Sued in 2005. Plaintiff alleged that Dezurick molested him in about 1960 at Tillamook Catholic High School when he was 16. Suit also alleged that Dezurick then lied to the boy’s parents and persuaded them to commit him to a mental institution to cure homosexuality. Another man came forward to allege abuse in 1957. Total of four known accusers.Settlement with the Abbey in 2003. Dezurick died in 1986. Also worked in the Spokane diocese for several years in the late 1970s.
