Fr. Francis Patrick Donohoe
Ordained for the Capuchin order in Washington DC in 1933, as Rev. Francis de Sales Donohue. By 1938 was assigned as chaplain at St. Joseph’s Home in Pineville, LA and missions at Deville and Rochelle. After a subsequent parish assignment in Monroe, he spent four years as a Navy chaplain. He returned to the Diocese of Alexandria where he was incardinated in 1942. He was removed from active ministry in 1966 and died in 1983. Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 2/6/2019. A review by the diocese of Donohoe’s file in 2019 showed credible evidence of multiple allegations of sexual abuse of male minors dating from the 1960s.
