Fr. Raymond A.J. Donohue
Accused in a lawsuit filed in 8/21 under the NY Child Victims Act of sexually abusing an altar boy, age 14, in 1987 while assigned to Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Lakeview. He was kept in ministry until suspended in 9/21 pending the investigation of accusation(s) of abuse reportedly discovered in documents filed in the diocese’s bankruptcy case. Donohue denied the allegations and his faculties were restored in 7/22. Reportedly, the alleged victim’s attorneys would not allow the diocese’s investigator to interview him. At the time of his reinstatement, the diocese said that Donohue was retired and did not have a parish or ministerial office assignment.

Our Database of Publicly Accused does not state or imply that individuals facing allegations are guilty of a crime or liable for civil claims. The reports contained in the database are merely allegations. The U.S. legal system presumes that a person accused of or charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty. Similarly, individuals who may be defendants in civil actions are presumed not to be liable for such claims unless a plaintiff proves otherwise. Admissions of guilt or liability are not typically a part of civil or private settlements. For more information, see our posting policy.
