Accused in 1993 of sodomizing a boy 1989-93, beginning when the boy was age 14. Drake had obtained a court order granting him custody of the boy. Convicted 11/18/93 in court martial of committing indecent acts with the boy, but acquitted of charges that he sodomized the boy for more than four years. Drake denied the charges. Sentenced to 18 months in prison. Had worked at two parishes in the Columbus diocese, then as a Navy chaplain 1968-93. Suspended by the Navy and the Washington archdiocese in 4/93. On Columbus diocese’s list 3/1/19.
