Monsignor. Sued at least twice. Accused of abuse in 1950s-60s. Former vicar general of diocese. Died in 1981. Diocese admitted in 5/06 that allegations were credible. Four additional suits filed 5/06. Civil trial began in 9/06 in a suit filed in 2005. A man testified that Feeney abused him for 6 years, beginning when he was age 7. Jury awarded plaintiff $1.5M. A man testified at the same trial that Feeney abused him as a boy in the late 1940s. Included on the diocese’s list of credibly accused 7/15/08. It notes allegations of abuse of 15 male minors, the earliest known abuse in 1957.
