Monsignor. In 1/05 A 27-year-old man filed suit alleging Fichtner abused him at age 9 at St. Joseph’s school in Holbrook. Fichtner was assigned to St. Joseph’s 1981-1990. He retired in 2002. Placed on leave in 2003 when the allegations were made. In 6/05 the Archdiocese lifted all restrictions after the review board could not verify the allegation. Retired in 2002. Prior to retirement, Fichtner was a member of the College of Consultors for the Archdiocese. Died 6/7/13.
