Fr. Sauveur Tambourin
“Sam.” Ordained for the Diocese of Tarbes-Lourdes, France. Incardinated in 1971 into the Diocese of Fresno. Included in 2021 on the Fresno diocese’s list of credibly accused. Noted to have left the diocese in 1974 to work as a US Navy chaplain and to have died in 1994. Per his obituary, Tambourin was a Navy chaplain for 20 years. At the time of his death he was pastor of St. Mary of the Mountains in Virginia City and a chaplain at Fallon Naval Base.
