Named publicly as accused by the diocese on its list 2/13/2019. Arrested and charged in 1/1986 with two counts of sexual contact for abuse in 12/1986 of a 15-year-old boy and abuse in 12/1987 of a 17-year-old boy. Both incidents allegedly occurred at St. Isidore’s rectory in Vineland NJ, where Gillespie was assigned. He was also a religion teacher at Sacred Heart High School. Allowed to enter a pre-trial rehabilitation program which would lead to the dropping of the charges. Went on to chaplaincies at Vianney Villa in Cherry Hill, West Jersey Hospital in Voorhees and St. Mary’s Nursing Home and Manor in Cherry Hill. Died 12/31/1994.
