Former seminarian, never ordained. Sued in 1/2001 for repeatedly sexually abusing a boy 1965-1968. The case settled in 2004. Personnel file released in 12/2002. Gilpin was living in FL and working as assistant principal in a middle school; he resigned when the allegations became public. Allegations emerged that he had made inappropriate comments to students in FL. Sued by a man in ME who alleged abuse while working there as a seminarian. Omitted from the Boston Archdiocese’s 2011 database.
