Fr. Denis Ginty
Ordained in Ireland. Arrived in Los Angeles in 1928. Died in 1985. Allegations in 1993 of abuse in 1932. Allegations in 1997 of abuse 1978-80. Civil suit filed in 2003 claimed abuse in 1932. Archdiocese counted four accusers in its 2004 report. Accused in a lawsuit that settled in 2020 in the low five figures of sexually abusing a girl, age 10, in 1968. The girl was a CCD student at Church of the Nativity in El Monte, where Ginty was assigned.
