Acussed of sexually abusing a teenage girl in the 1970s. He disputed the time-frame of the alleged abuse and the age of the alleged victim. Gramkee previously admitted that he had “engaged in an inappropriate relationship” and had undergone counseling. Named as chaplain at a prison just after abuse is alleged to have occurred; was later assigned to a parish. Suspended by the diocese in 6/02. Died of stroke 7/02. Included on the diocese’s list in 6/12, noting that canonical proceedings were not complete at time of Gramkee’s death .
