Accused in a civil lawsuit filed 4/15/16 of the sexual abuse of a boy, ages 12-13, during 1965-66 at St. Mary’s in New Ulm. Removed from active ministry. Gross worked in New Ulm, Taunton, Rosen, Hutchinson and Watkins. Retired in 2003. Per news in 1/19, Gross was returned to limited ministry on recommendation of the diocesan review board. The Brown County Attorney’s office reviewed Gross’s case and did not file criminal charges due to “lack of probable cause” and the statute of limitations.
